Provincetown sculptor, Mike Wright, inspired these images – full of texture and local color. In olden times, Moon Cussers roamed the backshore. They were pirates who on dark nights lit lanterns and lured ships to wreck on the sandbars. When the moon was full, their plot was revealed. Wright, whose treasure is found painted wood, places herself in the fine tradition of the Moon Cussers.
Several of these images are an integral part of the documentary video Inside Motherwell’s Dumpster.
